Board of Directors
The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce officially commenced the representation of industrial, agricultural, and commercial interests on St. Croix in October, 1924. Since then the Chamber has represented the interests of it’s members, encouraged responsible growth, and contributed to education in the community. Now as we begin our 82th year our Mission is clear, our Goals obtainable and our Principles and Core Values are unchanged.
Funding
The Chamber is a membership organization funded primarily by dues paid by member businesses. It is not a government agency and receives no tax dollars.
Membership
Membership is open to all businesses and individuals that maintain a voluntary annual dues investment. Benefits of membership include networking opportunities, community involvement, image enhancement, political advocacy, information access, numerous discounts and benefits and heightened credibility.
Principles & Core Values
- That the private sector must be at the forefront of economic development.
- That economic progress is best achieved by working collaboratively with partners.
- That economic development is compatible with environmental conservation.
- That a vibrant economy is the foundation for community development.
- That a strong and diverse business voice is vital to economic development.
Mission
- To represent our members and create a positive business climate that fosters private sector growth.
- To advocate, on behalf of the members, Governmental policies and Legislative actions that encourage investment, promote economic stability, provide opportunities for business growth, and advance a healthy economy in St. Croix.
Goals
- To advocate for policies, laws, and actions that are mutually beneficial to business owners, employees, and their families.
- To seek the resources, talent, and facilities to promote a program of entrepreneurial education.
- To promote job creation through local business expansion and sensible industrial recruitment.
