Welcome to the website of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce!

With more than 300 members the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce is recognized as the leading public advocate for local businesses and economic development. To that end, the Chamber works in cooperation and partnership with the administration of Governor John P. deJongh, the members of the Virgin Islands Legislature and other local organizations to help build and sustain a diversified, dynamic business economy on St. Croix.

The Chamber is governed by an 18-member Board of Directors appointed to three-year terms. Board members serve on a voluntary basis with no compensation and represent a cross section of the business community. Our members range from HOVENSA, L.L.C., the fourth largest oil refinery in the world located on the south shore of the island, to dozens of small and medium-sized retail businesses and enterprising entrepreneurs scattered throughout the island and operating in our two towns, Christiansted and Frederiksted.

One of our newest members is Diageo USVI, which recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art distillery which is capable of producing up to 20 million proof gallons of Captain Morgan Rum a year for sale on the mainland United States.

Not only will find an economic overview of St. Croix and the U.S. Virgin Islands, you also can access the websites of key government and regulatory agencies, including the Virgin Islands Economic Development Commission and the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs which will outline the requirements for opening and operating a business on St. Croix.

Understanding that the economic future of St. Croix lies in the hands of young business professionals and entrepreneurs, the Chamber has established the Young Professional Network (YPN). This network is open to all interested individuals ages 18-35 and offers its members networking events and informational workshops and seminars. To help generate business for our business members and to help keep our members informed, the Chamber hosts a variety of events. These include monthly Business After Hours networking events, special guest speakers at Business Luncheons and interactive meetings with our political leaders on issues critical to the business community. Members can keep abreast of upcoming Chamber activities and events as well as post their own events and activities on the Events Calendar that appears on the Home Page.

Business members also have the opportunity to promote their daily, weekly or monthly sales, discounts or specials through the Special Savings button at the top of the Home Page. Based on the information entered by the member business, visitors to the website can download and print a “Hot Deals” coupon to redeem at the member business. In addition, visitors can access available employment opportunities at member businesses by clicking on the Jobs button at the top of the Home Page.

Membership in the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce pays a multitude of dividends month after month. Business memberships are available for as little as $200 a year based on the number of fulltime employees of your business.
