More than 60 businesses that are members of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce have been voted best in their respective businesses categories on St. Croix in the 2011 Readers’ Poll conducted by the Virgin Islands Daily News. More than 75,000 votes were cast in this year’s readers’ poll, including approximately 38,000 electronic votes that were transmitted via texts, Facebook and Twitter. The Virgin Islands Daily News has conducted the readers’ poll since 2001 offering Virgin Islanders the opportunity to recognize local businesses and organizations for outstanding products and excellent customer service. The winning nominees in all categories were officially announced in a special Best of the V.I. on St. Croix 2011 supplement that was inserted in St. Croix editions of the Virgin Islands Daily News on Monday, June 27, 2011.
