The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals' Network would like to invite all members to our first annual general body meeting and elections on Wednesday December 28th 6:30 PM at the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Offices in Orange Grove (3009 Estate Orange Grove Suite 12). We will be discussing YPN matters (including a suggestion box for any concerns), recruiting committee members, and electing a new treasurer to our Executive Board. All interested members should bring a resume, and candidates for treasurer should be prepared to speak to qualifications (only paid members are allowed to apply or vote):
Committees include: Membership (Shani), Volunteering (Joseph), Events (Kama), Public Relations (Jozette), and Fundraising (new Treasurer). No more than 3 members per committee. Members may join up to 3 committees.
Treasurer: Is responsibile for managing all financial affairs of the St. Croix Young Professionals' Networking including but not limited to managing account and securing corporate sponsorship.
The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals' Network would like to invite you to attend our Holiday Party and Professional Networking Event on Tuesday December 27 at 6:30 pm at the Comanche Mill Yacht-Less Club http://www.comanchemillyacht-lessclub.com/. This event will feature a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. It is free for members and $5 for non-members, feel free to bring a friend!
The Young Professionals' Network of the St. Croix Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that we will be honored as a Strategic Partner (via the Strategic Alliance Memorandum agreement) of the Virgin Islands Small Business Administration at the upcoming SBA Business Week Awards Ceremony to be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the St. Croix Campus of the University of the Virgin Islands Great Hall from 12pm-3pm. Genevieve Whitaker, First Vice President of the YPN, will be recognized at the event. The Young Professionals’ Network is committed to the empowerment, career advancement, professional development, activism and excellence of St. Croix’s emerging leaders through a series of networking events.
Mission Statement:
The St. Croix Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals’ Network is steadfastly committed to the professional development of the young adult community and emerging leaders of St. Croix. We are the premier organization on-island dedicated entirely to young businessmen and women. We recognize the critical nature of networking and skill-building in career advancement, as such we are dedicated to hosting networking events and pursuing other initiatives that will empower and educate our young professionals.
